3650 Challenge Day 1
Anyone interested in Dr. Horner's reading plan can look here:
My thoughts from day one:
Matthew (re-convinced that Mary wasn't a perpetual virgin [vv. 18 & 25])
Genesis (always reminded of the age of the earth controversy as I read Genesis 1)
Romans (still not politically correct)
1 Thessalonians (kept thinking about Fernando Ortega's "Grace and Peace" song based on the salutation)
Job (was blown away by Job's wealth and demeanor in the midst of loss)
Psalms (disappointed that I have lost this from my memorization bank, but it should come back quick with a new attempt)
Proverbs (Wisdom cries aloud in the street!)
Joshua (vv. 1-9, some pep talk!)
Isaiah (He does not delight in the blood of bulls, lambs, goats, vain offerings, new moons, feasts...powerful!)
Acts (v. 7-it is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority....hmm sorry Campingites et al.)
